Philosophy:

When working with teens, I employ person-centered therapy as well as psychodynamic therapy to assist them in comforting and validating their authentic selves. I use these modalities because teens tend to be insightful and have the ability to think abstractly. So much of being safe to teens involves actively listening to them and providing them the optimum amount of support and guidance.  So, my primary objective is to be a safe adult with a caring and listening ear. My secondary objective is to work with parents by implementing new strategies of relating to their teen that can positively influence their teen's treatment.
